Traditions in village Krapets
Traditional customs are preserved in the village. For example, on St. George's Day, after the ritual slaughter of a lamb in each house, the whole village gathers under the centuries-old oak of the rite. Young girls and brides throw their vests on the pear, the vest that hangs will bring the girl or the bride good luck during the year. The roasted lambs are smoked by a priest, and the men break the lamb's heads in a separate place and drink wine.
Another custom is celebrated annually on August 2 on St. Elijah, a sacrificial soup is boiled, a prayer service is held in the presence of the whole population. In the area "Kamenna Mogila" in 1904 a ritual cross was erected "St. Elijah ”, where in 1993 a marble votive cross was exhibited, consecrated by priests from the Vratsa diocese.
